TECH-ASSIST™ DOSE ADMINISTRATION SYSTEMThe Tech-Assist™ is a portable dose administration system intended for use with F-18 injections. It was designed to reduce exposure and lifting during the injection process thereby helping to establish more relaxed atmosphere.
Designed with your safety in mind, the Tech-Assist is comprised of two main parts; the cart and the syringe shield.
The cart is constructed from stainless steel making it durable and easy to clean. It is an effective way to move the dose from the hot lab to the injection room while maintaining a safe environment. The cart is fitted with a 360° rotating bracket which allows for injection on the right or left arm. It is also fitted with an adjustable lift which gives the technologist the ability to inject into ports or supine patients.
The syringe shield part of the Tech-Assist assembles and encloses the dose from the side which helps in avoiding unnecessary exposure or accidental compression of the plunger. The cap removes the luer lock or needle from the syringe which helps in preventing additional exposure to the body or extremities.
Depending on your protocols, a 3-way stopcock may be added to the dose syringe allowing for a saline flush.. The Tech-Assist™ is fitted with an external plunger and is actuated manually by the technologist just before dose administration. For addition info, please click here.
